In 1990 we purchased a second newf, this time a bitch, she
did extremely well for us and loved to be the centre of
attention, soon proving herself and going on to be Ch Newfolly
Ace of Sikara. But to us she will always be our girl "Mia".
At the age of two, Mia wasbred to a local dog and went on to
produce our first litter, thus Newfashion Kennels came to be.
We thought we had struck gold, when two of these puppies
went onto become Australian Champions, one being a multi Best
in Show winner here in Tasmania, he himself being the first
Newfoundland ever to go Best in Show
in Tasmania. |

Twelve months later, Mia was again mated, this time to a local
brown dog. This produced a singelton puppy, known as
Newfashion Juicy Lucy. It was to be another two years
before
our next litter, this being a mating between "Lucy" and
Waterbear State O' th Art, and to date being our best
producing combination. From her first litter of five, three went
on to earn the title of Australian Champion, these were CH
Newfashion Buy Mia Bundi, (Messrs Harland & Barr). Ch
Newfashion Brindabella, (Mrs A Tranter) and Ch Newfashion
Blaze O Glory (Mrs C. Mathews). All three were titled by the
age of eighteen months.
A repeat mating gave rise to N.Z. Ch Newfashion Formula Two
(Mrs A. Kaley) and
Ch Newfashion Footloose (Mr & Mrs C. Ayres). Another brother
Newfashion Formula One was also successfully shown but was
retired at an early age.
 Over the years we have mainly concentrated on producing top
quality brown and black Newfoundlands. However in January
1998 we imported a Landseer bitch from Springhaven Kennels
in California. We are now enjoying watching the successful progress of Springhaven's Nugget Girl.
All our breeding stock are hip scored suitable for breeding, and are
regularly monitored making sure they carry a A1 health status. Puppies are
registered, vaccinated and health certified before they are placed in their
new homes. Puppies purchased for show and breeding potential will remain
here for as long as it takes to evaluate their potential, and will not be
sold a show quality if there is any doubt as to their future development.
Aside from puppies we sometimes have older dogs available for adoption,
these may not always be posted to this site, however please feel free to
contact us should you be interested in adopting an older dog.
